Total Eclipse of the Heart!

Worlds apart, the coming together, love’s close encounter. Two souls aligned, one in heart and soul, an encounter of a different kind. The breadth therein, an eclipse of the heart, divine love in its totality. Time, and space are eclipsed, the heart encountering how a day in love’s gravity, seems like a thousand years. And, a thousand years influenced by its spare, seeming just a day in its fullness. There’s nothing, love’s gravitational allure won’t eclipse. Perception, through the lens of the heart, eclipses what’s seen, within the naked eye’s peripheral. Eyes opened bright, lets in love’s light, becoming a beautiful sight, an eclipse of the heart. The sun, moon, and stars, captivating as they are, they can’t outshine, love’s celestial charm. Lying, like a child in the arms of love, dreams never die, wonders never cease… to be amazing. Love making it become, a total eclipse of the heart!

Every now and then, it’s a struggle, listening to the sound of your tears. And though, life says, the best years have gone, yawn and say to your soul; good morning sunshine. Yes, every now and then, our soul gets a bit restless. Every now and then, we feel a bit helpless. Every now and then, we get a bit angry. Every now and then, heart and mind are at odds, but, turn around; in stillness of soul, the voice of love whispers. When, a shadow is seen, it’s not only a shadow of you, but a reflection of the light within you. Even now and then, our light seems but a flicker, a light nevertheless. The concept of love, withstands. Regardless of heartache, despite heartbreak, love tugs the heartstrings. Whatever the soul faces, the heart’s resilience will eclipse. Every heart has its moment, every soul birthed with its own light, but, somewhere past childhood, the light begins to dim, if the heart’s not protected. Even, in those moments, love enters the darkness, to energize our love. Making our light once again become, a total eclipse of the heart!

Since, it seems like the whole world is talking, about today’s solar eclipse. I don’t get excited, about these kinds of things. This is how I see, love in a heart eclipsing moments. This piece was also inspired in part, by Bonnie Tyler’s well known song from the 80’s; total eclipse of the heart!

By Design; Love’s Colorful Display!

The beauty of her, a mosaic portrait of her love. Her strength, displayed within every breath she exhaled. Her worth, the jewel, reflecting her heart of hearts. The fragrance of her love, lingers within the breadth of her presence. Her heart, a divine work of art, a colorful display; texturized by the artistry of her soul. The essence of her being, forever will be; an angelic portrayal of… her!

His and Hers

Love, pure as a beautiful flower, lets its divine beauty be. It’s lavender fragrance, the nuances of its essence. A colorful display, of its deep crimson hue. A heart that ceases to grow, love stagnant in its growth. It doesn’t matter, how often love seems to bloom. Without a fertile environment, constant light, the heart being watered. The love is surely destined, to wither!

* Another one of my by design share. The first, a picture of my late daughter, which I made into a texturized portrait. The second, a fabric flower my wife made some years ago, for her sister’s 50th birthday party. The leaves and the center piece, about half a dozen of them were cut out by hand, glued and stitched together, long with a bunch of other things she made. It may look small, but it’s about 12-15 inches in diameter. I took a picture of it, and incorporated it into this design. Hope you enjoy it!

Wednesday Proverb; in Service of.

In support of, does love’s endearing service render. Heartfelt in its offering, need not be substantial, to serve as monumental. Tenderly, love bares, and bears, in part and in kind. Till death do us part, vowed not only in wed, but in service of mankind, serves well to the end of time. Hold up thy oath, let forever do thy part. Let the heart and mind reconcile, embracing differences will never be, mind over matter, but what matters; being in service of, each other. There’s no shame, in the heart being vulnerable, knowing the possibility, love not reciprocated. To serve, or not to serve, the question for the heart to answer. Head to heart, in service more than words, more than a good idea. Lean on me, chant it the mouth will, but does the heart recite at will? Believing it, in living it, gives meaning it will. Shoring it up, underpinning it, bracing it with substance, reinforced with action. Acts of kindness, never random, if always in service of, compelled by love’s goodness. A helping hand, can do no good, without the heart, having a hand in it. The heart aids, if fear invades, with the unknown. Love in service of, takes care of, provides for, be in support of. Dipped in its essence, drips its fluidity; regardless of… An out of service love, could never be in position, an reassurance of, giving its comfort to. Love’s nourishment of, life in support of, in sustainment of living. Deep love, gives of itself, pays for what, money can’t buy. A heart, giving of its worth, gives of its wealth; for the health of. The swell, the well, telling of, in service of a divine love!

The Voice of Love!

Intently, within stillness of soul, the voice of love speaks. Softly it whispers, gently it moves. Quietly, it waits for the heart to be ready, to embrace its gentle spirit. An open heart, listens for love’s distinct voice. Heard within the wind, felt in those still moments. The ones taking your breath to new heights, to become one with love’s eternal plane. Within its understanding, its nuances are known, its beauty elevated, the texture deeply felt. The richness of its tapestry, woven deep within its fabric. The voice of love, its truth makes the heart swell, the soul well. In its subtle grin, its obvious tell. How words not spoken, speaks to the essence of its renown. Love’s consistency, within waves, in what it sounds like, unequivocal its tone. An expression of its resonance, the ambiance of its profoundness. Its simplicity, displaying a portrayal of its existence, its benevolence, its quintessence. A heart full of grace, transcendence of what moves love, between time and space. Of its breadth, calmness within its depth. The voice of love, music to the heart, a melody for the soul. A song in the night, strumming the heartstrings. Love’s rhythmic sweet lullaby, it’s linguistic harmony, touching the deepest places. Its virtue provoked, heart and soul echoing; the voice of love!

In Grace Alone!

Is there a love more meaningful, is there a word more beautiful; than Grace? As you can surely see, the struggle’s not finding words, but in how my heart articulates, clearly defines; Grace’s profound love. Putting it into words, what my heart tries to do, but yet the love indescribable. Grace’s love, deeper than an ocean, higher than the highest mountain. The breadth of it, beyond the widest comprehension. Though, the love unfathomable, unexplainable; the depth I have explored, Grace is attainable. Ask, seek, knock; the door, an open heart. My Grace’s hand, has me by the heart, the love taking my breath. Tell me, how can I, put it all in words? In Grace alone, my hope is found. My cornerstone, my firm foundation, light in darkness, my strength, song in the night; amazing Grace. When, pen encounters the fiercest drought, like a raging storm, my soul pours. My mind doesn’t think, it’s my heart that bleeds, love’s transparent ink. My soul, soars the heights of love, knows peace like a river, drowns my fear therein. Grace, gives me faith to stand, my soul strength to withstand, an outpouring of my wayward tears. My heart of hearts, rest within the Grace I have; my gift of love. From life’s first cry, to life’s final breath; in love alone, destiny meets me there. So, no power of hell, any scheme of man; can ever pluck my soul, from Grace’s outstretched hand. For such a time as this, and as time goes by; I have realized. Grace is needed, more than yesterday, more than words can say. More than the air we breathed, more than the next heartbeat, more than anything. We, can’t turn back the hands of time, and even if drawn line in the sand. In Grace alone, what stems the tide, preserve our humanity!

Healing, within its endearing quality. Within its texture, the soothing nature within its essence. Within its fragrance, the aromatic balm within its captivating ambiance. Within its comfort, its restorative effect. The breadth, within its subtle allure, the penetrating depth, within its intrinsic substance. Its natural ease, solace for an anxious spirit. Its unyielding beauty, leaves you with its deep sense of knowing, you’ve felt its quintessence. Its heartfelt warmth, brushed against your soul; its balmy presence, more than skin deep. When, life rubs the wrong way, its medicinal qualities, found within its undeniable strength. Revealing its unyielding reassurance, what’s within; love’s enduring balm!

Fun Friday; Jeep!

A brand new Jeep, the sticky price ain’t cheap. The salesman, waits in the shadows, the creep… upon you, trying to catch your heart off guard, with one intention. Get you to make the leap, dip deep into your pocket. He sees in your eyes, the love seeps, but the question is, does the beauty keep; wax on, wax off? And even though, you try to flip the script, give him the slip. The fast talker, well versed in the art of deal, or no deal; all your money to keep. Doesn’t care if you lose sleep, one eye open watching for the hand that reaps. Oh, man, the creep… ing, upon your brand new Jeep. So, before it gets that far, you look for the exit, but it’s in the distance. But the faster talker, not willing to walk a mile, the man with the plan. This is what you do; “just slip out the back, Jack. Make a new plan, Stan. Don’t need to be coy, Roy, just get yourself free. And hop on the bus, Gus. You don’t need to discuss much, just drop off the key, Lee, get yourself free. ” Then, warn all your peeps, to stay clear of the man. The fast talker, trying to get your arm, and heart twisted, into making the leap. Buy what the money in your pocket, may not be able to keep, the over priced; Jeep!

Wednesday Proverb; the Whether!

Love, like a river, flows endlessly, seeping from the depth of your soul, braving the whether, overflowing into forevermore. In love’s reign, a heart baring its soul, frolics breathlessly. Though, the whether soaks you to your core, the heart giggles like a child. The elements, never becoming a thought, it’s elementary; childlike faith, frolics unapologetically. The light of love, doesn’t play hide and seek, with its radiance. Its beauty, transcending the whether, casting no shadow within doubts. A lot of hearts, does things based on what becomes the whether. What drives you, what frees you, what moves you. Sometimes, predicated on the proverbial whether, feelings. But deep down, rhetorical within its contextual nature. For, when love compels, the whether therefore, becomes irrelevant. The choice between to be, or not to be. An unmuted soliloquy, an expression of the heart, love dispelling quivering thoughts. Whether, says there’s an alternative, but, how can love truly be love; when it asks of you, to be? The worst kind of whether, the ones that leave a chill in the air, no warmth within the heart and soul. Making the seasons become, more about the whether, love not being the reason!

The Tell!

My words, have a tell, no need to read between the lines, meaningful words reveals itself, in transparent ink. My heart is the ink, giving words its meaning. My words pen black and white, my love telling, painted in vivid color. Some say, my words are out spoken, but what eyes fail to understand; my words would never have meaning, if my heart didn’t have a tell. Growing up, my heart and soul lived in introverted space. Within time and silence, between seen and not heard; living and being. Even then, living in plain sight, my heart had a tell, but drowned out by the silence. Those words are these, what I’m here telling. For too long, every heartbeat was content, living a silent life. Then one day, the silence within my heart was pierced, my words bled onto the canvas, unmistakable now the tell. Many think, it’s the eyes that sees telltale signs, but, how can you read a book, that knows how to hide its most significant verses of its tell, in introverted spaces? My tell is this, these words, my heart is telling. In every prose, underlined pages of my soul, emphasized words; my telltale witness. Life, gives every soul a story to tell, ever syllable its own tale, love getting the glory. My love is telling, and it leaves my heart, exposed!

Song Inspired; Held!

Thirty years, too little, a child’s life ceasing to be. But yet, the love never ceasing, to be held dear. Sudden, could never take from me, the breadth my soul has come to know. In love’s providence, thirty years, could never be appalling; tomorrow’s not promised to behold. So, I put my gaze to the Son, let the benevolent light within, shine down its radiance all my days. My heart, doesn’t need to be rescued, grief has no power to overtake. When the cry becomes, “pass me not, gently save. Hear my humble cry, do not pass me by. ” Change is inevitable, and no heart escapes the moments, we let slip through our hands, cascade within the sands of time. Sometimes, life can seem unfair, but why hold your breath? Meditate on this, breathing isn’t just for living, but leaves you its assurance. Deep love, revives within the breath of life. What it is to be loved, this, what it means to be held, within love’s ensuring breadth. Even, in the moments when what was once held, becomes your heart swept away; embraced by what is, time and space!

It’s been a while, since I’ve done a song inspired. This one, is dedicated to my daughter. March 9th was her birthday, she would have been 34. March 9th was also my youngest son’s birthday, he turned thirty!
