Cool Runnings!

The dance yard nice, another year’s vibe spread out, independence’s right to defend. No and’s, if’s, or but, everybody becoming a friend, love doesn’t desire to become a trend. Again, hear me when I say; freedom, doesn’t worry about timing, just that love is vibing. The vital riddim of love, should feel like a melody, holding you sweetly, moving you deeply. You done know, there’s many rivers to cross. One love, One heart, the Jam down session, spirit of the people. A cultural vibe, Out of many, One people. Young and old, feeling the rhythm, grooving to the good times. The caribbean scene, the land of cool runnings. Come, dip your soul into the groove, eat some breadfruit and feel alright. Sweet Jamaica, she has nothing to prove, but it behoves, to let love sweeten your heart, with sugar and spice, to make your soul feel nice. Tune your heart, and rock with it, the riddim; the cool running!

After more than 300 hundred years of British colonial rule, Jamaica gained independence on August 6, 1962. The road to independence was long and hard, but with prominent and instrumental figures such as, Sir Alexander Bustamante, and Norman Manley, Jamaica gained its freedom for self-governance. In Jamaica, this date is celebrated as Independence Day, a national holiday!

*I was born there, a few years after our independence, but been living in Canada since the 70’s. Happy independence, to all my Jamaican yardies!

Into the River!

Into the deep, the heart to keep, love flowing like a river. A drowning soul doesn’t need rescued, every heart needing to drown, drown, drown; drown in love’s river. Leave troubles behind, unburdening soul of its veil. Sailing away the blues, no and’s, if’s, or’s will ever be needed to use. Within the submersion of love’s river, the soul emerges poetically versed, persuaded forever by its muse. The heart immersed within the melody of love’s rhythm, avoids life’s pointless schisms, a soul not easily swayed by depth-less isms. Many bridges of rivers to cross, what love builds over-seas. Come to its sure, crawl, walk, run; jump into the river. Don’t worry about shivers, coldest hearts find warmth, in a deep river. Sink or swim, love doesn’t act on a whim, but overflows, it will; a soul filled beyond the brim. Everybody needs love, but the deepest kind only found, found, found; found breathless, within the deepest place of the river!

AuGust!

Awe gust, air breathed a must, hurts brushed off the heart a must, keeps the mind from collecting dust. So that, tears won’t leave the soul, with unwanted rust. Life, can cause such unnecessary fuss, and sometimes, you just don’t know who to trust? But sometimes, that’s how life goes, walking tippy-toes. But those, Awe, the gust, the wind chimes, serenades of nature’s muse. Love’s melodies, blowing the mind to find, there’s still mountains to climb. Summertime, Awe, gust of its breathless sublime. The soul basking in the sun, sipping, heart skipping, having fun, jumping in the river. Oceans deep, oh, how sweetly love keeps, the soul from losing sleep. Under the moonlight, the night shines bright, holding the starlight in place. Sleepless nights, an excuse for love, to take the heart on a twilight stroll. Awe, gust of its ease, soul moved by love’s gentle breeze. What the moment sees, breathtaking  how it will seize, sway you with love’s enlightened breadth. Awe, gust of its calm, captivating with the beauty of its charm. AuGust, eighth wonder of the year, love gives you its cheer. Not for what the heart gets to see, but what becomes of thee. Knowing how to live free, within the reign of love’s majestic glee!

Life’s Rhyme, Love’s Reason!

They say, but who are they, to know the reason, to the distinct rhythm of one’s heartbeat? Some believe, but can some-one’s claim perceive, reconcile why, love’s composition concedes, to never change? Life’s rhyme, therein lies the reason, to know love’s quintessence. Words, sounds like, but actions state, the substance within one’s soul. Bravado within one’s heart, reveals the tempo of its rhyme, time; poetry in love’s motion. Life speaks in syllables, love’s interpretation making it relatable. Some say, but every day, things stay the same. Love quotes, verses note, but when said and done, did it resonate? Alter the debate, is life just fate, or love what gives it weight? If, love isn’t a song, why do hearts pledge it being, birds sing its melodies, flowers do their thing; sway to it, so beautifully? Logic says, but logically how could it ever understand, how love blinds a heart, capturing sound reasoning? The hypnotic vibes, to some life’s rhyme, hearts living in tribes. Never deepened, swayed by love’s poetic reason. For some, life’s rhyme is emotional, love’s reason be, promotional. One’s mind, still grappling with the rhyme, dabbling in life’s wayward uncertainty. Where wholeheartedly, intentionally, intuitively; love is, always and forever will be, life reasoned!

Rhythmic Friday; Sometimes!

Sometimes, we feel like a rockstar, act like we’re a superstar; but, are we truly living, to shine your light, like the rising star? Everyday, it’s the alarm clock, The rock, and the roll… out of bed. First, I shake my head, then do a heart check, 1, 2; the soul too. To get things started, I clear my throat, and my mind, and say a little prayer. Sometimes, push and shove collides, therefore, heart and soul has to stem the tide; make love the answer, every time. Sometimes, my lady sings the blues, but I don’t need a Holiday, to let her know. Her heart I choose, her love moves, and “you’re still the one, I want for life. Sometimes, DJ life, hits me with the funk, so I groove to it, “get down on it.” For, under the Midnight Star, “there’s no parking on the dance floor.” DJ, let the Disc go, “play another slow jam, this time make it sweet.” Cheek to cheek, love enlightens the sun, the moonlight glistens tenderly, making my shining star, glow endlessly. Oh, Sometimes, the day becomes, how the soul gets into the groove, how it makes the heart move. Actions with nothing to prove, but how to be in-sync, with love’s harmonious rhythm; oh, happy day!

The Script; Peace’s Sure!

Peace’s deep inner sure, the place where the yearning soul, encounters the depth of love’s provision, the heart breathing in the breadth of its divine tranquility. When the rain falls, the snow cascades, soul’s innermost hidden, within the gravity of heaven’s reign, soaking in the droplets of its dew. Watering the earth, yet at the same time, the soul nourished, the heart flourishing. Planted seeds, yielding its bounty, what the bread of heaven provides. The rhema of faith’s substance, hovering within the surety of love’s peaceful sure. Proclaiming the empowerment, never returning void of its existence. Love and peace, accomplishes it desired outcome, will achieve its predestined purpose. That just needing one’s heartfelt belief, be the catalyst of its intent. The soul knowing its joyous allure, a heart endowed with love’s confidence. Mountains and hills singing its melody, forest yields its sway, valleys of life giving its due. To a soul living securely within love’s heavenly sure, a heart not relying on momentary bliss. But knowing peace’s sure, is forever girding love’s assurance, found within the pages of love’s script, the essence of its peace filled sure! Isaiah 55: 10-13 NIV

The Place!

There’s a place, where everyone needs to know, no walls exist. No airplane can get you there, just your wings and a prayer. No boat, can sail you to its sure, to treasure its worth. A lighthouse, illuminates perception, but a heart’s path lit, enlightens true perspective. It’s a journey’s anthem, a lifetime’s pursuit, a lifestyle’s commitment, that gets you to this place. And oh, how the soul thrives, innermost never breaks out in hives. Mind, body, soul, arriving at a place, where a moment in time meets you, rendering anxiety’s hold powerless. In its reign, its power endowing you to subdue fear’s unknown. For in this place, shackles are outlawed, chains are taboo. Don’t know, if you could ever get there, where there’s a will, the heart and soul is empowered, with fortitude to overcome. Getting there is never easy, but necessary, to embolden its cascading joy. This is the place, pursuing happiness, the want to immerse yourself within its tranquil seas. For many years now, my soul, has been living in this place, and with love’s provision, it governs my heart. Don’t get it twisted, things will test your resilience, try to twist your mind in nots, but yes, in this place your resolve will be fortified. This place, where your heart has the freedom, to rise above the tide, your soul never having to hide. Where living is, being in the place in your life called, inner Peace!

Song Inspired; Woo, Woo, Woo!

Love should be, always and forever, all the heart believes, what the soul perceives, what it deserves to be. In heat of the moment, love cover, with things said and done. That should never mean, love fails to be, anything but what it was meant to be; its endless woo, woo, woo. A heart, could never justify, what the mind thinks love should be. It’s just a fact, real love isn’t anything wanted, but everything needed. Love, doesn’t wrap you around its finger, but wraps itself around you, raptures you with its presence. Not holding back, what the heart feels, but gives you of its needs, what will surely please. Fortified love, shed colors of crimson hues. Rhetorical as it seems, deep love isn’t anything less, than significant to be. Your love fortifying me, my love fortifying you. It doesn’t deny, but says, come to me. “Let me put my arms around you, this was meant to be.” Can my love pursue you, you, woo. Can it woo, woo, you; anytime, anywhere? One thing is for sure, something so good, should never be denied, ever be defied, just defined. Love’s beautiful flower, releases in you its desired bloom. The essence of its song, captivating you with its allure, swaying your heart deeply. Purified love, fortifies mind, body, soul, a heart whole, holistic love its innermost. So, in the height of your troubles, in the depth of your struggles. Anxiety running deep, seeming too much; hush. Let, love prove to you its worth, how it pulls you through. With its intended purpose known, it’s wooing you!

“You Should Be Mine (The Woo Woo Song)” is a 1986 song by Jeffrey Osborne, from the album Emotional. It was his biggest hit single, reaching #13 on the top 💯 Billboard chart.

More than This!

More than breadth, beyond deepest depth, life is, moments are, time gives, perspective matters. Heart tattered, soul bruises and battered, mind scattered. More than words, found tears, found fears, hope is never lost. Within pain, within hurt, within loss, within anxiety, deep breath purges. More than moving, more than proving, the offering; more than words. A breathtaking deed, a beautiful creed, heartfelt glee; the sacrifice. Right here, right now, always, forever. Endless stream pouring, deep river overflowing, an overwhelming ocean. This is, part of living, imparted giving, more than breathing. A lifestyle, a lifetime’s encounter. In the madness, despite the chaos. Its little might, does the heart right, the soul’s outlook bright. More than these, Love is, More than this!

Life’s Quote;

With a reference point realignment, enlightenment provides life’s greater understanding, of love’s gift to heart and soul!

Droplets!

Droplets, that drenches the heart, drowns the soul. Awakening life’s moments, with the sound of morning melodies. Droplets of heaven’s dew, resting breathlessly on the morning’s hue, precipitated breadth of dawn’s moistened excess. Droplets of love’s purity, of its clarity, of its divine fluidity. Overflowing, overwhelming, life’s complacent levees. Rainy days, misty moments, seeping from within, droplets of hope, of dreams. And, for those hearts loving wide open, a soul bared unfettered. Knowing more than this, lies beyond the mist. Living, out one’s ornate purpose, ones spirit basking in the tenor of, love’s beautiful reign!
