Other Side of The Glass!

On the other side of the glass, do you see lots of baggage. Heart and soul, packed for its life long journey. A mission to find enough confidence, that will never again be taken… for granted. On the other side of the glass, do you ponder a list of past mistakes, or see a list of lessons learned, what not to do? On the other side of the glass, do you see a reflection of someone struggling to stand, or someone on their knees searching, for the courage to rise up every day, from the ashes? On the other side of the glass, do you see someone in pieces over shattered dreams, or someone trying their best to collect themselves, use broken pieces to rebuild their hopes? Just know, on the other side of every perception, a reflective glass. Reflecting the things, we all try so desperately to conceal, with a little blush, and the make-up. The pretty words used, to tell our tale. The real you, textured glass. Reflective interpretations, veneered glass. Transparent facades, not meant to mask the heart, but reveal its humanity!

Mirror, mirror; through the glassed lens, show me one heart that doesn’t have their baggage, one soul that hasn’t made its own list of mistakes? How about someone, that hasn’t struggled knowing their worth, or at some point felt a bit broken? Every mirror’s reflection, perfect as it may seem today, could become sudden brokenness. A mirror reflects you, what’s allowed to be seen. Glass reveals what’s a fragile situation, a heart handled with care, not easily broken. Casting stones, will break glass, easily replaced. But, the heart worn on the sleeve, when impaled by reckless acts, leaves visible scars. Glasses expose, what a mirror can’t hide, brokenness the heart reveals!

Wednesday Proverb; Believe!

Believing you can soar, not relying on just wings, but trusting in the faith. Believing, doesn’t look to be convinced, looks within itself to be persuaded, by the indwelling confidence. The meaning of true love, found within the evidence of its intrinsic breadth. Leaning on its everlasting arms, letting the embrace take your soul to its highest plain. It first starts inside, within the belief you can. Heart and soul with a plan, wings with an elevated span, takes your beliefs to it. The place where the soul knows, if the heart believes it, your hopes will do it, soar higher. Metaphorically, beliefs reaching the proverbial sky. No limitations, there’s absolutely nothing to it. Spreading your wings the soul sees, how far dreams take the heart. A soul on the verge, doesn’t wait on settled nerves, but the heart’s inkling, the mind’s epiphany; the manifestation. Believing, happens not by chance, but the intentional choice. Thinking it likely, predicated on the heart knowing, it’s inevitability. I know, believing sometimes seems so attainable, but yet at times so far. When, weakness tries to get the best of you? Meekness will, find a way. Belief won’t change, if hope doesn’t get distracted, when faith doesn’t get discouraged. The soul, needs love to breathe, the spirit wings to soar. The question is, does your heart, believe?

Wednesday Proverb; Spilled Love!

My heart is full, my soul can’t keep it contained, my cup overflows. When I open up my heart, whenever I tip my hat, love spills from the depth of my soul. When, my forever said I do, love spilled from within deep affection. When my heart, grieved the loss of a child, love made the tears spill, watering the ground where her love lays. As a child, my grandma instilled endearing love in my consciousness; if ever someone rejects your love, don’t let my heart, cry over spilled milk. Que sera, sera; whatever will be, will be. Don’t catch yourself, grasping after careless whispers. Real love speaks boldly, with colorful expressions. Whenever my words spill, the welled up love within, escapes my deepest place. Splashes of love’s hue, the ink tells the story, where the love comes from? Meaningless, love should never fall hollow, words should never be empty. My soul, has been within love’s ocean, and it makes my heart full. Spilling the content of your love, how the texture is made known. Whenever love leans in, with every tilt of your soul, love’s essence leaks from within. Overflow, for the love to pour endlessly, heart and soul has to be willing, to let it intentionally spill. A heart, should never cry over spilled love. That’s how, our humanity is beautified. Poetically, lyrically, rhythmically, deeply, breathlessly; love seeping through crevices of your soul!

Wednesday Proverb; Love’s Anthem!

Oh, hearts, can your love see, does thy light dawn, how true does its brightness shine? Does even a faint flicker, glow radiantly? Is it a candle, a lantern in the night, illuminating the heart, enlightening the soul? Hope is never silent, it’s a reflection, waiting patiently for its moment, to beam love’s crimson hue, within its benevolent light. In breathless syllables, love profoundly speaks. In its quietness, within its quintessence, love’s essence hail’s the soul; being one in heart and mind. Raising love’s voice, amplifies its loving anthem. Its symphonic sound, its melodic tone, its harmonic rhythm. Within glowing hearts, with an uplifting soul, love’s anthem prevails, resounding strong and free. Hearts, that wade through love’s deep water, knows the anthem within its sea, lives in the depth of its ocean. Love stands on guard, keenly waiting to give hearts, the strength to fight the good fight. Let, love’s Anthem forever be, a song of praise. Its proverbial chorus, echoed again and again!

Can Anyone…?

As a child, I’ve known rejection, of a father’s love, and because of it, lived many years in a silent river. I’ve lived for a time introverted, had my world turned upside down. I have failed at some things, have triumphed over so many obstacles. I have flaws, I have scars, but my wings never tarred. I’ve had my heart mistreated, had my love misappropriated, but yet; never shied away from giving it. I’ve been looked down on, but it never kept my heart from looking up. I’ve swam in love’s ocean, have drowned trying to fathom the depth. I’ve conquered many mountains, waded through deep waters, and have learned; you survive life, how your soul lives and breathes. I’ve known love’s bliss, felt the pain in its agony. I’ve seen loved ones grieve loss, fighting back my own tears. So, they could have the strength of my love, to cry on. I have fallen, but the fall wasn’t from grace, but into grace. I know passion, have been shown more compassion than I deserve. I love deeply, been loved profoundly, more than rejection will ever eclipse. I’ve had my heart shaken, my soul stirred, have never minced my love. Why live, to let your heart seem heroic, but let your love be true. How strength is found, to triumph in this journey! Tell my heart this, can Anyone… relate?

This piece, written for everyone, for we’ve all been through something, maybe still going through some things. Some more, some less, but our humanity’s truth is this; the struggle is not are we living, but through it all, are you breathing?

Wednesday Proverb; Let it Be!

Are you walking through this world, and it barely feels like living? Trying to live, but breathing doesn’t always seem so easy? Perhaps, letting the past be, the past, the here be the now. The heart, learns to trust… the process, the soul, understands how to be. Sometimes, we look through our hopes, but see our dreams are tired of dreaming. Don’t let it be, a heart discouraged, instead, let it go; doubts and fears, to let hope soar. Some days, new heights will surely reach, to heart and soul. When, we don’t let careless smiles, become a callused heart. Trying to let it be, what you let your heart believe, will become what will truly matter. Learning how to see yourself, the way love sees you. How you will discover, you’re always enough. A flower, doesn’t bloom in every season, but we let it be. Until the moment comes, to watch how it thrives, in time. Loving, who you are in this moment, lets the soul be at peace, with whom you need to be, tomorrow. Love, doesn’t intervene to overwhelm with its truth, just be a beautiful display, of its endearing worth. Even, tears flowing in quiet streams, the heart, letting it be, it can become a tranquil river, soothing the soul. The best laid plans, needs faith to let it become, time to let it be. The days of our lives become, moments passing within our hearts, the soul slipping between the sands of time. Whenever, the weight of life gets too heavy, burdens get hard to bear? To find your equilibrium, we have to; let it go, lay it down, let it be!

Look Up!

Friend, lend me your heart, let me whisper into your soul; look up. When, the weight feels too heavy to bear, and beneath the silence, your heart feels like it’s suffocating? Just know, what doesn’t kill your spirit, makes your heart become that much stronger. When you believe that, the moment your heart knows that; true peace has been found. Pound for pound, the heart is the strongest organ in the body. Be courageous, you’re an overcomer. The way to the other side, what your heart has to go through. Never abandon your dreams, don’t relinquish your hopes, they’re tethered to your desires. Walk the walk, don’t need to talk the talk, be authentically you. You don’t look down, so your feet can know the path. You look up, to open your heart up to the possibilities. Even if you stumble, and your heart gets bruised, don’t give up. On the road called life, scars are inevitable, but flaws don’t define. No need to be strong, trying to keep it all inside, let it out. Even, if the rain won’t seem to end, and the flood so overwhelming, breathe. Tears, don’t mean you’re losing the battle. Peace is a river, love fathoms oceans, and there’s light even in the darkest moments. Look within, you’re stronger than your mind thinks, braver than what critics perceive. What matters, what you choose to believe. Don’t let your heart digress, every little step is progress. Every day, look up at the sun, there’s a light also in you. Every night, gaze at the stars, let it see the twinkle in your soul. Let fear know, not today, life’s circumstances won’t eclipse your glow; it’s your time to shine!

Wednesday Proverb; Abandoned Thoughts!

I can’t, leave that rhetorical phrase, at the side of the proverbial road. The journey your heart’s on, doesn’t need that kind of loaded baggage. When, every other thought has a subtle chuckle, joy gives the heart permission to chuck negative beliefs, out the window of the soul. Systematic chains, keeps the heart in bondage, abandons your worth in a deprived, reality. Feeling not good enough, abandon those kinds of flawed thinking, ditched them in the deepest crevices of your peripheral. And when, your mind’s racing, trying to be there to pick up pieces of your heart; gather your thoughts, be still and know, deep love builds up a broken heart. And if, you ever feel not worthy of love, renounce that thought, burn it up in love’s eternal flame. Let your soul, listen to every heartbeat, the breadth that it holds, makes the love within your story, not yet told. Deserted thoughts, with no return address, will never find its way back to the heart. Insecure thoughts left stranded, in your lowest valley. Will never fathom the moment, your soul has reached the pinnacle. The place where your heart’s journey, finds how abandoning misleading thoughts, lets the soul discover, love’s wholistic essence!

I Got You!

If you need a friend, I’ll be there. You need a shoulder, lean on me. Need someone to lift you up, build up your resolve; call on me, my love will meet you in the trenches. If you need someone to intercede, here’s my creed; I will bend my knees, don’t have to ask me please. In these arms of mine, in this heart I have, you’re enough. If you have something on your mind, tell it to my heart, my love is listening. More than you ask, think, or imagine. With the depth of my love, the breath within my soul, my heart will intervene. Whatever, if ever, wherever, forever; whether will never be. You don’t have to ponder, what if? You don’t have to wonder, can I bear? My love, lives in an open heart, my soul takes breath, living in love’s divine grace. Your worth, doesn’t need to be a trophy, for my love to get you, my heart to receive you. Your love, tethered to my soul, my heart got you; here, now, always. You are, I am; lovingly, we become!
