Love’s Quiet Beauty!

If you look closely, you would see how its subtle beauty captivates. If your heart is keen, you would be in the know, how even its silence speaks, of its epic glow. Whoa, how its depth flows, its breadth spans the deepest river, hearts drown within its quiver. Its quintessence, unapologetically bold, if truth be told. Before one’s soul even knows it, deepens its hold, when nights are cold. Like a gentle flower, petals at the feet of its might, everything feels right, when eyelids close tight, within the midnight hour. In its reign, its fragrance showers the soul with its bliss, the sweetness of its kiss. Its kindness is endless, its awe breathless, actions blameless. It’s utterly reckless, breaking down barriers. Its worth never feckless, its meaning never voiceless. Within its hush, swaddled hue, the heart of its endearing pink blush. Fullness that emanates, stillness that shimmers, goodness that resonates. Its exists in plain sight, perceived only; when actions reveal, it resides within your heart. Its quiet nature, hovers in the shadows, patiently waiting to serve, what its essence preserves. In quiet whispers, lullaby it hums, the anthem of its sum. When words sting, healing it brings, the soul sings. Its mystique, moves the heart with its simplicity, captures you with its serenity, its picturesque intensity. Haven’t your heart heard, love’s true to its word, be like a graceful bird, soar with wings of a dove. Love, its quiet beauty, that, “je ne sais quoi,” what gets lost within its ocean. What no heart can fathom, no soul could live long enough to tell its tale, found within the pages of its boundless sublime!

Wednesday Proverb; Reign in!

Love, when my thoughts become wild and indifferent, rein in my mind. When, my heart races to be right, but loosing sight, that every pursuit needs to still be love making every heartbeat skip, rein in my heart. When, comforting words seems misplaced, my soul struggling to render love’s most endearing expression, reign in my soul. Whenever, life’s problems are out of my control, but the real struggle, keeping emotions from building up passionless barriers, reign in my life. If, my words ever become insensitive and tasteless, trying to preach but not to teach… me. That love as just a verb, without elements of its healing herb, leaves a bad taste, rein in my words. In a position of change, not the same as a position of influence, love’s reign being its confidence. The moment one’s heart realizes, storms don’t come to drown one’s soul, but to test resolve, embolden one’s spirit, to perceive beyond the peripheral. One’s life finds meaningful solace, in knowing words won’t overcome, what the heart needs to let reign. Love’s rein empowers, what the gravity of every encounter needs to become, its heartfelt reign!

Motivation’s Triumph; Hello!

It doesn’t matter, how many breaths it takes to breathe, take a deep breath. It doesn’t matter, how many attempts it takes for your faith to believe, trust the process. It doesn’t matter, how many times your hope loses its balance. Dust off your heart, so your soul can rise from the ashes. It doesn’t matter, how many times your dreams hit a wall. Don’t fall for the lie, that daydreams are inconsequential. Optimism’s creed, a consistent mindset, quintessential indeed. When, a heart arrives at a place, where love emboldens its innermost? A heart and soul will profoundly say, hello hopes, hello dreams, hello faith, hello peace, hello joy, hello strength; Love, come on in, to my horizon. The moment, your heart is opened up to see, love’s breadth resides within, what your soul needs know; I Am, free!

Love’s Letters, to a heart’s story!

Hello, heart, can I ask you this, do you hear it, the constant knocking? It’s me, Love, at the door of your heart. Waiting, for you to let me in; into your hopes, into your dreams, into all what love seems. When your soul says hello, my whisper echoes, let my triumph be. The poetry in your eMotion, the motion in your motivation. When you were a child, back before life took the innocence. Love, made you smile, held you close, made you believe, with love in your heart, you could do anything; you, had me at hello. But then life, all its woes, the unsavory does. Tic tac toe, two steps forward… hello. When, life takes its toll, I Am, willing to deliver these letters; L.O.V.E, to your battle scarred soul, your heart as a whole. To let it cover you, from life’s reign. Love is never typical, its reciprocal, hello. What, should every heart know about love, it comes knocking, to give you its peace, its joy, its strength; just say, hello!

The Story; Time Traveler’s Wife!

In the meadows, the encounter, the story of time’s resilience. The days, the years, the moments, the growth; love transcending time, total eclipse of the heart. Love’s moving journey, no soul evading its capture, its captivating tug on heartstrings. Lives cross, hearts intertwine, time vowing to be true. His soul travels, her heart waits, becoming time’s intuitive revelation. Time travels, hope floats, deep love stands test of time. Love, doesn’t kill time, it illuminates the mind. Make memories, embrace the moments, celebrating each other, time vanishing before eyes. Life makes the heart learn, love makes the soul yearn, time makes you discover, love doesn’t fear unknown. Time was, time is, love traverses the breadth, of time and space. In time’s fate, the heart dates, the soul mates, mind relates.  The complexities of time, overcome by the power of love. The mind wanders, the heart searches, time enlightens reality. Love persuades, gives meaning to a traveling soul!

* This post, a take on a movie I’ve watched a few times, and again this weekend. It’s a love story, based off a book, with the same title, made into a movie in 2009. It’s a story, about love’s resilience, a man who keeps vanishing, in and out of time, and a woman who falls in love with him, and later marries him, but he still keeps traveling. There’s no violence, no guns, no swearing, a movie differently worth watching, the end just might have you in tears!

Sweet Sixteen; Always, Forever!

Forever, by any other name, will be just as sweet, knowing the fragrance of its essence. Always, by any other definition, still sweetens the sense of its favor. If it’s then, or now, in life’s holistic Forever, the totality of the season, bares its sweet reason, time, is but a distraction. Days, months, years, how love cares, determines how the heart fares. Love is, candle in the wind, the less it flickers, more profound it will Always burn. Every heart, wants their cake, but what does it make, if not layered by the soul’s sweetest desire. Sharing, caring, wishing, upon love’s starlit night, candles illuminate moonlight. Balloons and flowers, chase after the hours, but, it’s in loving moments, Forever’s sweetness, transcend limited chases. Sweet tea, Sweetie, has one thing in common, honey. Every day, I take it to the bank, her love is money. Don’t get it twisted, years has shaken, but steadily if sweetened, Always be stirred. Love, may not Always seem pleasant, but if true, will Forever be pleasing. Hearts are not Always agreeable, but if respectable, Forever makes it acceptable. Words said, not Always delightful, but when spoken in love, Forever makes the journey beautiful!

Today, is my sweetie’s birthday, she’s sixteen again. Fun fact, thirty eight years ago, the summer of 86 we met, making her sixteenth birthday the first birthday we celebrated together. And though, time reminisces, love’s timeless melody lingers, always and forever!

I Believe in You and Me!

I believe, as far as my heart can see, true love lives eternally. I believe in always, for always would never ask of me, that which my heart and soul could never conceive. I believed, in my soul knowing this, love is not always bliss, precious moments to never miss, sealed forever with love’s endearing kiss. I believe, with you life would blossom, time would flourish, days become rosier. Years tethered, hearts deeply rooted, moments that never wither. For as love grows, its bloom therefore deepens. I believe in hopes, in dreams, and no matter how hard things seem. My love will stand guard, wielding its might, vanquishing unsavory schemes. I believe in hope, my love becoming, a candle within the window of your soul. When the chips were down, your heart my love crowned, queen; what a divine sound. To have and to hold, trust never capitulating to life’s woes. Heart and love side by side, walking through opened doors. Believe me when I say, love will never abandon us, leave our hearts for daze, at heartbreak hotel. I believe, deep love is a river flowing unrestrained, becoming an ocean. Revealing its unfathomable depth, the sustaining breadth within love’s belief. I believe, love shapes the stars, uses radiance within the heart. Enlightening the purpose to why love becomes so breathtaking, within the gaze of a starlit night. Its tapestry, echoing breathless throughout the soul. I believe, love doesn’t leave the heart wanting, for what the soul yearns, love always. My word I will defend, on that you can depend. I don’t lend my love, it’s yours always. Lost in love, where my soul is never found, bound to someone else’s disbelief. I believe in miracles, believe this love will never end. I believed, to this day still believe in love. For, love has always believed in you, and me!

I believe in you and me, a song by the late, Whitney Houston. Since 2018, I’ve taken one of her songs, and written a post on or near her birthday, to commemorate her life and legacy. She was my favorite singer, and have followed her career since she released her first album, in the 80’s. This particular song, was released as the soundtrack’s first single on December 10, 1996, which she received a Grammy nomination. for Best Female R&B Vocal, at the 1998 Grammy Awards

*Below, the previous Whitney song inspired, for anyone who wants to read:

Cool Runnings!

The dance yard nice, another year’s vibe spread out, independence’s right to defend. No and’s, if’s, or but, everybody becoming a friend, love doesn’t desire to become a trend. Again, hear me when I say; freedom, doesn’t worry about timing, just that love is vibing. The vital riddim of love, should feel like a melody, holding you sweetly, moving you deeply. You done know, there’s many rivers to cross. One love, One heart, the Jam down session, spirit of the people. A cultural vibe, Out of many, One people. Young and old, feeling the rhythm, grooving to the good times. The caribbean scene, the land of cool runnings. Come, dip your soul into the groove, eat some breadfruit and feel alright. Sweet Jamaica, she has nothing to prove, but it behoves, to let love sweeten your heart, with sugar and spice, to make your soul feel nice. Tune your heart, and rock with it, the riddim; the cool running!

After more than 300 hundred years of British colonial rule, Jamaica gained independence on August 6, 1962. The road to independence was long and hard, but with prominent and instrumental figures such as, Sir Alexander Bustamante, and Norman Manley, Jamaica gained its freedom for self-governance. In Jamaica, this date is celebrated as Independence Day, a national holiday!

*I was born there, a few years after our independence, but been living in Canada since the 70’s. Happy independence, to all my Jamaican yardies!

Rhythmic Friday; Sometimes!

Sometimes, we feel like a rockstar, act like we’re a superstar; but, are we truly living, to shine your light, like the rising star? Everyday, it’s the alarm clock, The rock, and the roll… out of bed. First, I shake my head, then do a heart check, 1, 2; the soul too. To get things started, I clear my throat, and my mind, and say a little prayer. Sometimes, push and shove collides, therefore, heart and soul has to stem the tide; make love the answer, every time. Sometimes, my lady sings the blues, but I don’t need a Holiday, to let her know. Her heart I choose, her love moves, and “you’re still the one, I want for life. Sometimes, DJ life, hits me with the funk, so I groove to it, “get down on it.” For, under the Midnight Star, “there’s no parking on the dance floor.” DJ, let the Disc go, “play another slow jam, this time make it sweet.” Cheek to cheek, love enlightens the sun, the moonlight glistens tenderly, making my shining star, glow endlessly. Oh, Sometimes, the day becomes, how the soul gets into the groove, how it makes the heart move. Actions with nothing to prove, but how to be in-sync, with love’s harmonious rhythm; oh, happy day!

Song Inspired; Woo, Woo, Woo!

Love should be, always and forever, all the heart believes, what the soul perceives, what it deserves to be. In heat of the moment, love cover, with things said and done. That should never mean, love fails to be, anything but what it was meant to be; its endless woo, woo, woo. A heart, could never justify, what the mind thinks love should be. It’s just a fact, real love isn’t anything wanted, but everything needed. Love, doesn’t wrap you around its finger, but wraps itself around you, raptures you with its presence. Not holding back, what the heart feels, but gives you of its needs, what will surely please. Fortified love, shed colors of crimson hues. Rhetorical as it seems, deep love isn’t anything less, than significant to be. Your love fortifying me, my love fortifying you. It doesn’t deny, but says, come to me. “Let me put my arms around you, this was meant to be.” Can my love pursue you, you, woo. Can it woo, woo, you; anytime, anywhere? One thing is for sure, something so good, should never be denied, ever be defied, just defined. Love’s beautiful flower, releases in you its desired bloom. The essence of its song, captivating you with its allure, swaying your heart deeply. Purified love, fortifies mind, body, soul, a heart whole, holistic love its innermost. So, in the height of your troubles, in the depth of your struggles. Anxiety running deep, seeming too much; hush. Let, love prove to you its worth, how it pulls you through. With its intended purpose known, it’s wooing you!

“You Should Be Mine (The Woo Woo Song)” is a 1986 song by Jeffrey Osborne, from the album Emotional. It was his biggest hit single, reaching #13 on the top 💯 Billboard chart.
