Broken Wings!

Once upon a moment, there was a heart, with a broken wing. This heart, loved being free, lived feeling whole. But, when the soul can’t breathe, life takes a toll, the strong winds takes its hold. Breaking your spirit, fracturing your will. Wounding what was once, beautiful wings. A heart exhausted, trying to be strong, until flight became the fight. When, hope is not elevated, faith becomes the struggle, finding the strength to be. The notion in that moment, the gravity. Emotion given space, poetry in motion. Wings can’t sustain, a heart free falling. A soul, colliding with fear of the unknown. In the brokenness, in the helplessness, vultures circle. A traumatized heart, leaves your wings paralyzed. But, while existing in a vulnerable state, compassion finds you. Love holds you gently, cares profoundly. How, do you help a broken wing? Time, healing, devotion; what every broken heart needs, to thrive, not just survive. A rehabilitated wing, a heart knowing brokenness, doesn’t define your healing. It’s a wild, wild world, even though there’s winds of change. A butterfly released, finds its wings are, beautiful. It’s not, just angels that know how to fly. Every heart takes flight, given the chance, to spread wings like an eagle. Rise, with the wind beneath your wings, with breadth in your soul. Don’t let anyone, tell you to mend, the heart has to bend. Let your soul pretend, that it’s mind over what truly matters, Love. Putting the heart in a box, not what brings about healing. Clean hands, a pure heart; tends to your being. Once upon a moment, will never mean broken wings, won’t feel whole… again!
